I ordered the copper K9 optix with a 2 day shipping fee so they would be in before opening weekend but after the order was placed amazon verify said they wouldn’t be in until next week. So I wrote directly to the vendor(Little Family Members)and asked them if they could ship them ASAP instead. My dog had cut his lower eye lid 2 weeks before hunting in Nebraska on some sharp foliage and a friend had mentioned for me to try the Doggles site. The large copper K9 optix was what I was looking for, More of an contoured airy tinted safety glasses for my 90lbs (bulldozer) Lab. They worked perfect, easy to install on a whim or as need basis (they come with a soft plastic case that they fit folded in my vest pocket like any other sunglasses). You have to put the dog to work right away or they will try to remove just like booties but he had forgot that he had them on that afterwards he didn’t try to remove them during our extensive photo ops. I only used the chin and ear strap and didn’t use the optional additional top strap. Even though he was bulldozing through some abrasive 2-3′ (pig and rag) weeds. They didn’t need any re-arranging after all that so that I have a good comfort level of him not losing them in the field. I think that if he did when we try them on tight pine hedgerows in the future, that they probably would be dangling around his neck instead of lost. They did leave a slight fur crease that disappeared later. Even though I am always on high alert for hidden barbwire it was good knowing he had some sort of eye protection on. I think my dog is going to start wearing them when he is hanging his head out the back window too if I don’t have to pull over to keep him from removing them.
I would recommend them (if they fit correctly)to any Pheasant hunter in need.

|Wish the lenses were bigger & darker – even though I ordered large!,
Good concept. Just wish the lenses were bigger an perhaps less flat across the lenses. The lenses smash against my dog’s eyes. Tried adjusting the nose piece to prevent this. But after a few steps, the glasses don’t stay in place and continue to smush his eyes. I have a pit bull mix with a pretty broad nose. This may work well for other breeds. Also would like the lenses to be darker. They seem fairly light. They are much lighter than in the pictures.
