Small For Big Cats, A Bit Flimsy, But Okay,
I bought the small for a 20lb Maine Coon cat, and it’s almost too small for him. He can curl up on it fine, but can’t completely stretch out with hanging significantly off the edge(see photo). Additionally, as the other reviewers noted, it feels a little flimsy. The hollow tubing and joints are put together in such a way that they “flex” so I don’t believe they will hold up to lots of wear and tear. You will want to keep that in mind. The “strength” really holding it together is the cloth platform which is tightly attached. Poles slip through 2 sides, while the other two use velcro.
Also the joints are connected by, I’m not sure what it’s called, but you push in the metal “button” on the end of the tube, insert it into the joint to the point of the opening and the metal “button” pops out holding the tube in place. This is what allow it to flex. Well one of the connects for one side isn’t quite exact, so the “button” doesn’t pop out. For whatever reason this doesn’t seem to create a problem as I mention above the true strength of the cot is the cloth platform.
Anyway, the cat is okay with it. He will sleep on it, but doesn’t seem too partial to it even with the optional pad that I bought.

|It is not bad,
I bought 4 elevated cots for my dogs a month ago, and so far they are liking. Easy to set up, no complains. It concerns me the fact they don’t have a mesh cover, like the other ones I have. It might be too warm for the summer heat.

|Hard to put together,
Nice dog bed, but it was very difficult to assemble. When first 3 poles assembled it is nearly impossible to get 4th pole in -at first I thought it was defective. My husband and I had to work together to get it finished.
